Lifespan: 35-40 years

 

Distribution: Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo And Uganda

 

Habitat: Lowland and mountain forest

 

Threats:  Civil conflict and Instability, bush meat trade, poaching and habitat loss

 

Wild Fact I: A group of gorillas is referred to as a band or troop

 

Wild Fact II: A gorillas territory can cover as much as 41 square kilometers
