Distribution: India's Assam, West Bengal, Nepal and the foothills of the Himalayas

 

Habitat: Grasslands, swamps, forest and the foothills of the himalayas.

 

Threats: Poaching, habitat loss

 

Wild Fact I: The rhinoceroses horn is made out of keratin - the same material that human hair is made of.

 

Wild Fact II: The Greater-One Horned Rhinoceros is an excellent swimmer
