Status: ENDANGERED

 

Population: Data Deficient

 

Lifespan: 100-150 years

 

Distribution: Warm-temperate and tropical seas/oceans

 

Threats: Vessel strikes, fisheries catches and climate change 

 

Wild Fact I: Whale Sharks have about 3,000 teeth which are less than 6mm long

 

Wild Fact II: Whale sharks can weigh up to 12 tons
